Η βερολινέζα Maayan Nidam έγινε γνωστή  με το controversial single "Drifting On", που σαμπλάρει λίγο άγαρμπα τα φωνητικά της Nina Simone με ένα αμφιλεγόμενο αποτέλεσμα. Ωστόσο έχει κερδίσει τον θαυμασμό ανθρώπων σαν τον Ricardo Villalobos για τις τολμηρές μείξεις φυσικών και συνθετικών ήχων που δίνει ως dj, με την επωνυμία  Miss Fitz. Το 'Nightlong' lp που βγήκε φέτος την Άνοιξη έχει ακόμα πιο αναπάντεχες ιδέες. Χτισμένο πάνω σε ηχογραφήσεις Κουβανών μουσικών (που γίναν ειδικά για την περίσταση κάτω από το ιαπωνικό label PowerShovelAudio), εντελώς έξω όμως από κάθε γνωστό πλαίσιο tribal house ή salsa. Η  τύπισσα έφτιαξε έναν δίσκο acid-house εξολοκλήρου από φυσικά όργανα, χτίζοντας ένα απίστευτα ακουστικό rhythm section, από κοντραμπάσο, πιάνο, πνευστά, κρουστά και φωνητικά, βασανιστικά επαναληπτικό και groovy. 'Ωρες-ώρες τα φωνητικά στίγματα παραμορφώνονται τόσο επίμονα, με τους βαρείς, βραδυφλεγείς ρυθμούς των Phuture, που καταντάει δαιμονικό! Για δες καιρό που διάλεξε...
